Hello guys welcome to the new post. Here we will discuss the R422B Refrigerant Chart. R422b is hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant that comes with 3 components They have two hydrofluorocarbons, R-125, R-134A, and one hydrocarbon, R600A. The refrigerant has many features. The 422b was used as a replacement for R22. That makes it best for many drop-in replacements in the market and supports the mineral oil, Poly Olester, and PAG oils. Let get started with R422B Refrigerant Chart

R422 was added to the system during servicing, if needed without recovering the existing R422B charge. Verify system operation. If the system has a critical charge, it is suggested that any remaining refrigerant be removed before servicing.
This refrigerant mixture must be removed from the cylinder as a liquid. Wok on the instruction of industry approved for recovery of refrigerant and get full vacuum on the system at receiver process end.
422B recovery needed recovery cylinder with a service pressure of 260 psig minimum.

R422B Applications
- It is used as a replacement for R22. The R22 refrigerant comes with features to increase the system’s working. But one issue is that it has chlorine as it was HCFC refrigerant. Coloring negatively affects the ozone layer which protects UV rays from coming to earth.
- Currently, HFC getting uses manufacturers started using HFC refrigerants to make mixtures such as R422B and R407C. Hfc blends can be drop-in or retrofit. Most experts use two terms interchange but they are not the same.
- For replacement remove R22 and use new refrigerant without varying lubricant or system components. Retrofits can need to vary oil and many system components based on refrigerant requirements.
- We can also use refrigerant as an R417A replacement. The refrigerant is an HFC blend that has the same component as 422B. That is R125, R134A, and R600A. 417A is R22 replacement
R422D Disadvantages
- Refrigerant also has restrictions. That are we not expect to use at the level of working as R22. We can notice a drop in energy efficiency for using it as a replacement, resulting system working for a longer time.
- one other issue for R422 is that it has a greenhouse effect. It has a global warming potential of 2526. So there is a need an EPA certification to buy refrigerant.
What type of refrigerant is R422B?
- R422B is a hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant that has 3c components. R-125, R-134A, are hydrofluorocarbons, and one hydrocabon, R600A.
- The refrigerant have different works and features the main fucntions is 422B is a drop-in replacement for R22.
What is the other name for R22 refrigerant?
- R-22 other name is Chlorodifluoromethane thatis is a colorless gas that is used as a refrigerant. it also caledR-22 Freon, or HCFC- 22 Freon.
What is the difference between MO99 and R422B?
- R422B comes have 12 percent lower capacity than R22 and extra five percent less than MO99. Mass flow rate of R-422B is 20% larger asd compare to R-22.
