Hi, reader welcomes to the new post. In this tutorial, we will discuss the Cross-Field Theory of Single-Phase Induction Motors. The induction motor belongs to the ac family of motors. There are two main types of induction motors single-phase and three-phase induction motors. single motor called single phase motor since it operates on single-phase and a three-phase…
Hello, friends. I hope all of you are enjoying your life. In today’s tutorial, we will have a look at permanent magnet synchronous motors. In the electrical power system, there are numerous types of machines that are used, such as transformers, generators, and motor and there are subtypes of these motors and generators. Like induction motors, synchronous…
Hello friends, I hope all of you are having fun in your life. In today’s tutorial, we are going to have a look at synchronous motor starting methods. The running speed of the synchronous motor is equal to the speed of the field rotating at the stator, which is called synchronous speed. This speed depends…
Hello friends, I hope all of you are having fun in your life. In today’s tutorial, we are going to have a look at what a synchronous condenser (capacitor) is and its importance in different electrical machines. In an electrical system, a synchronous condenser is a synchronous motor that gets excitation from a DC source.…
Hello friends, I hope all of you are having fun in your life. In today’s tutorial, we are going to have a look at synchronous motor power correction. A synchronous motor is such a machine that can operate at unity, lagging, and leading P.F., but an induction motor operates only on lagging P.F. The synchronous…
Hello friends, I hope all of you are having fun in your life. In today’s tutorial, we are going to have a look at the effect of field current changes on a synchronous motor. A synchronous motor is an electrical device in which, during operation, the revolution of the rotor is coherent with the rotation…
Hello friends, I hope all of you are fine. In today’s tutorial, we are going to have a look at types of synchronous motors. In the electrical system there are 2 main types of mostly used motors: the first one is the synchronous motor, and the second one is the induction motor. The main difference…
Hello friends, I hope all of you are fine. In today’s tutorial, we are going to have a look at the synchronous motor torque-speed characteristic curve. The most important feature of a synchronous motor is that it provides constant speed during its operation. The speed of the motor depends on the number of poles and…
Hello friends, I hope all of you are fine. In today’s tutorial, we are going to have a look at an introduction to synchronous motors. Alternating current motors are such devices in the electrical power system that alter electrical power into mechanical power according to the input supply, whether it is single-phase or 3-phase. The…
