How to wire a double pole breaker?

There are two live wires connected with a single neutral wire in a double pole breaker. That means if one of the hot wires comes with a short circuit they trip. it can be used for service of two separate 120 vols circuits or single 240 volts circuits

For wiring the double pole breaker follow these points

1. First of all off the power supply to the service panel at the main breaker. These breakers are configured on top of the service panel
2. Disconnect the breaker panel by unlocking the connection corners
3. Ensure that another double pole breaker has space. There is a need for two horizontal slots. Tranfer the breaker from the bus bar on the design of the current breaker. if there are no slots open get a subpanel.
4. Remove the external part of the service panel of one of the round knock-out plates. The wires running in the box pass through these holes. The cable connectors must be connected in the hole. The locknut of connectors on the inner side of the panel is connected.
5. Connect wires through cable connectors from a heavy-duty system and connect them with clamping screws. Ensure the feed cable to the circuit breaker.
6. Connect the white wire of the cable with a neutral bus bar that can be found from neutral wire contacts on other circuits.  Make a connection of bare copper or green ground wires with a neutral bus bar.
7. Put black and red wires in double poles and connect screws.
8. Put the breaker in the hot bus bar. it will then slip in without pushing the point.

Different Between a Single and Double Pole Breaker?

• The basic difference between them is the quality of single or double-pole beaker voltage ampers and their connection of wiring.
