 Make sure you are connected
First of all, check that the laptop is plugged in. It is the main cause that the computer can not start, there is no software or hardware solution or repair for the disconnected laptop to power on
before doing any step to ensure that the charger is connected to the port. Also, check the power brick and make sure that removable cords are completely inserted.
Check the Cable
Check that the cable is save and does not have any damage or breaks. Check ends of broken connections like plugs pulling loose that are chewed by pets. If the cable is damaged or not properly working change to another one for proper charging.
 Use the Right-USB Port
USB c is a commonly used port for standard connection of devices, transfer of data, and charging the battery. The standard helps to connect thin devices but also sometimes confuses. Some designs only use special USB C port data so do not charge your laptop.
Sometimes devices have two USB C ports one used for charging or data transfer and the second is made for data. If you have a non-charging issue ensure connected to an accurate USB C port.
 Use a powerful charger
Due ot the power adapter connecting your laptop means will charge the battery. It is all for different chargers but it is a common issue with laptops that charge for USB C and can plug in any USB PD charger but some take a longer time to charge.
Check the wattage of the charger with a laptop if it is from a 45W charger, there is a need for a strong for charging. The low-wattage charger keeps the battery draining when used, but it is not enough to charge highly. If it manages to recharge the laptop it will be slower than normal.
Use the charger that comes with the device, sometimes 3rd party USB C chargers are needed. If it occurs use that is certified by the USB-IF.
Battery Checkup
it can be that the battery is not longer charging since it needed to be replaced. If the computer is older or has error, the battery no longer has features to charge. Take some time to check the laptop battery’s health so we can find the causes.
Check in the window by finding the battery report in the command line. It helps to find the current battery capacity and uses history. If capacity has dropped since the buying date it means causing issues.
If you are a Mac user then check the battery report through System Settings > Battery and read status under Battery Health. If it says “Service recommended,” there is an issue.
Lose the Battery
Check the battery’s physical condition, if the laptop comes with a removable battery remove it and hold the power button for 25 seconds to drain any residual power from the devices. With the battery removed plug the laptop into a power outlet and again connect it. If the laptop power on accurately then the adapter is working well and issues a bum battery.  Update Drivers
It is a less common condition that can be a faulty driver. Open the start menu and search Device Manager. In the battery section, you can see some features normally for the charger and  Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery, and some others can be. Right-click and choose Update Driver.
When drivers are up to date, reboot the laptop and connect with power again. if the issue is not solved then download the latest version of the driver. There is an option to uninstall the Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method battery and reboot, which prompts Windows to reinstall the driver
